FRIENDS! THE MUSICAL PARODY

Rachel, Ross, Chandler, Monica, Joey & Phoebe are back and PIVOT-ing to the Hobby Center October 1-3

The Hobby Center Foundation is delighted to announce tickets for FRIENDS! The Musical Parody will go on sale on June 25 at 10 a.m. FRIENDS! The Musical Parody, the New York City Off-Broadway hit, will play the Hobby Center’s Zilkha Hall October 1-3

FRIENDS! The Musical Parody is the unauthorized comedic musical that lovingly pokes fun at TV’s Friends, celebrating the adventures of your favorite group of 20-something friends as they navigate the pitfalls of work, life and love in 1990s Manhattan. It’s a typical day at New York’s only coffee shop, Central Perk, until an unexpected runaway bride enters the picture and kicks the whole gang out of second gear! The musical recreates our favorite moments from all 10years of Friends through an uncensored, fast-paced, music-filled romp. FRIENDS! THE MUSICAL PARODY was created by Bob and Tobly McSmith.

HOBBY CENTER ACHIEVES GBAC STAR™
FACILITY ACCREDITATION

The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts announced today that the venue has achieved Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation, the gold standard for prepared facilities. Under the guidance of GBAC, a Division of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, the Hobby Center has implemented the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention in its facility.

As the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation, GBAC STAR™ helps organizations establish protocols and procedures, offers expert-led training and assesses a facility’s readiness for biorisk situations. The program verifies that the Hobby Center implements best practices to prepare for, respond to and recover from outbreaks and pandemics.

The Hobby Center becomes just the third performing arts center in the nation and first in Texas to achieve this accreditation.
